The expanded focus on testing is among the less obvious changes to the 2019 FFIEC. While showing a core platform test was sufficient in the past, expectations outlined in the new FFIEC will emphasize both a broader array of testing and enhanced traceability of outcomes and actions. Additionally, we’ll cover techniques for building better tabletop scenarios that can reinforce your plan's practice and expose operational and response weaknesses in a “zero stakes” environment – allowing you to fix risks before they become issues.

Learning objectives

Present a detailed review of the changes incorporated in the November 2019 update to the FFIEC Examiners Handbook as they relate to testing for credit unions, including the expansion of the array of testing to be performed, tracking of that testing, the tracking of actions from that testing, and more.
We will discuss the implications and recommended actions for each significant change to address those modifications, additions, and enhancements.
We will focus on the importance of testing for a health continuity and resilience program, including techniques for building more effective tabletop scenarios for credit unions.

We will then present a list of possible tabletops and explore an example tabletop for discussion and use in your credit union.

Cancellations received more than seven days before the event are subject to a 25% administrative fee on the order total. No refunds will be granted for cancellations received on or after seven days before the event. Substitutions are accepted before the start of the program. Additional costs may apply.
