This week: Congress in session; America’s Credit Unions monitors several primaries
This week, the House and Senate are back in session and America’s Credit Unions is monitoring several primaries happening across six states tomorrow. America’s Credit Unions PAC is supporting 16 candidates in Washington, D.C., Iowa, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, and South Dakota.
Of note, in New Jersey’s Democratic Senate primary, Rep. Andy Kim, D-N.J., seeks to replace Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J., who faces corruption charges and is no longer running as a Democrat. In addition, credit unions are encouraged to register and attend the NCUA’s webinar on minority depository institutions (MDIs), happening Wednesday at 2 p.m. Eastern. The webinar is in recognition of MDI Awareness Month and will feature presentations from the NCUA’s Offices of Minority and Women Inclusion, Consumer Financial Protection, and Financial Technology and Access.
