A credit union industry award that honors and values the principles of servant leadership

The Greg Inman Servant Leadership Award was established by Councils in 2022 to honor the legacy of Greg Inman, Chief Operations Officer of Neighbors Federal Credit Union in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who passed unexpectedly in 2021. The epitome of a servant leader, Greg was known for his humility, ethics, passion for team building and community, and for his lifelong commitment to developing others. A dedicated advocate and champion of Councils, he volunteered for more than a decade, including serving as chair of the Councils Executive Committee and chair of the Operations and Member Experience Council.

The award recognizes individuals within the credit union movement who embody the core principles of servant leadership. Its purpose is to highlight and celebrate leaders who put others first, build strong communities, foster growth in those around them, and lead with authenticity, vision, and shared responsibility. Through this recognition, the award aims to inspire continued servant-leader values across the industry in the spirit of Greg Inman’s example.
