GAC kicks off with nearly 6,000 credit union advocates in attendance

The 2024 Governmental Affairs Conference kicked off Sunday afternoon at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. Nearly 6,000 credit union leaders are on hand for the movement’s premier advocacy event.

Change Enthusiasm founder and CEO Cassandra Worthy shared her experiences with change and coined the term “change enthusiasts” to describe people who channel their emotions to grow through change.

Monday’s schedule includes:

  • Mainstage speeches from America’s Credit Unions President/CEO Jim Nussle, Chief Advocacy Officer Carrie Hunt, Transition Board Chair Brian Schools and Vice Chair Lisa Ginter.
  • Keynote speeches from actor-humanitarian Gary Sinise and Dr. Jennifer Golbeck.
