Calling for reduced data collection burdens

Responding to the NCUA’s request for information (RFI) on NCUA data collection, America’s Credit Unions requested the NCUA reduce and streamline the process for credit unions.


In a comment letter sent to the agency Tuesday, America’s Credit Unions highlighted three main areas for improvement:

  • Reduce unnecessary data collection and encourage reporting with greater automation and standardization to ease reporting burdens in the Call Report.
  • Simplify the Call Report by addressing unclear and duplicative components and reporting challenges.
  • Clarify key definitions, methodologies, and reporting expectations in the Call Report instructions.
