Congress passes bill funding government through early March
The House and Senate passed legislation Thursday funding the federal government through early March. The vote was overwhelmingly bipartisan.
The legislation extends funding for the National Flood Insurance Program through March 8.
Government programs set to expire Jan. 19 (Agriculture, Energy and Water, Military Construction and Veterans Affairs, and Transportation and Housing funding) would be extended to March 1, with the remaining areas of the government funding set to expire Feb. 2 were extended to March 8.
