Credit union-backed Mejia wins N.J. special election

New Jersey voters elected credit union supporter Analilia Mejia, D, to Congress in Thursday’s special election. A former Department of Labor official, Mejia will represent New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District in a seat left open after Rep. Mikie Sherrill was elected as governor.
