Kathleen Coulombe starts as America’s Credit Unions chief advocacy officer

Veteran D.C. advocacy professional Kathleen Coulombe starts as chief advocacy officer at America’s Credit Unions today. She leads America’s Credit Unions’ advocacy team as credit unions look to advance priorities leading up to November’s midterms, where the organization and its League partners will look to elect a pro-credit union 120th Congress.

“As I step into this role, I look forward to working with Leagues and credit union leaders across the country to elevate the industry’s voice in Washington and advance policies that support you and the communities you serve,” Coulombe said.

Coulombe comes to the credit union movement from the American Council of Life Insurers, and also previously worked at the Society for Human Resource Management, U.S. Department of Defense, and the Office of Nevada Governor Kenny Guinn.

“We’re excited to have Kathleen officially on board as we continue our unified efforts to protect cooperative finance and advance people’s economic freedom,” Simpson said.
