Message to senators highlights industry’s focus on Main Street

U.S. Senate staff received a credit union-focused message Monday, as they work towards passing their version of the budget reconciliation bill. The outreach highlighted credit unions’ focus on Main Street and work to help hard-working Americans. While credit unions hold a less than 10% share of assets in the financial services market, one-third of all Americans have chosen to partner with credit unions.

The emails are part of America’s Credit Unions’ focused effort in advance of Senate leadership’s July 4 deadline for completing the bill, to ensure lawmakers have the facts and understand the importance of securing the credit union tax status as they deliberate tax language. America’s Credit Union, leagues, and credit unions are working together to share positive messaging.
