Minnesota Credit Union Network toasts to ’cooperation among cooperatives’
The Minnesota Credit Union Network (MCUN) is celebrating 100 years of service, and 2025 also marks the International Year of Cooperatives worldwide. In the spirit of celebration and cooperation, MCUN partnered with Minneapolis-based Broken Clock Brewing Cooperative to launch High Yield Pale Ale—a beer brewed “by a cooperative, for cooperatives,” and help raise money for a good cause.
Mara Humphrey, president/CEO of the Minnesota Credit Union Network, says the beer symbolizes what’s possible when co-ops cross sectors and combine their strengths.
“In a time when consumers are looking for meaning behind the brands they support, this kind of partnership reinforces the credit union difference, said Humphrey. “Today’s consumers—especially younger generations—want to align with organizations that reflect their values, stand for something bigger than profit, and contribute positively to their communities. High Yield Pale Ale showcases how credit unions are living their principles out loud.”
A portion of the proceeds from High Yield goes to the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation to support financial literacy and empowerment efforts across the state.
