NCUA to be briefed on board member childcare reimbursement
The NCUA Board will meet Thursday for its January meeting, during which it will hear a briefing on a proposed rule for Dependent Care and Board Member Expense Reimbursement and the Central Liquidity Facility’s 2026-2027 budget.
America’s Credit Unions has consistently requested the NCUA to explicitly permit reimbursement of childcare costs incurred by a federal credit union board member. The relevant regulation was last amended in December 2001.
The meeting will start at 10 a.m. Eastern Thursday and will be streamed live on the agency’s website.
