NCUA seeking feedback on outdated, unnecessary regulations
The NCUA issued a request for comment (RFC) seeking feedback on regulations that are outdated, unnecessary, or unduly burdensome.
The NCUA is not statutorily required to pursue a regulatory review under the Economic Growth and Regulatory Paperwork Reduction Act (EGRPRA); however, this is the second of four RFCs that will be issued as part of the agency’s EGRPRA review. This RFC solicits input on NCUA regulations related to agency programs, capital, and consumer protection.
America’s Credit Unions commented on the first section of the review in 2024 and will solicit member feedback to inform a comment letter in response to this RFC as well. A Regulatory Comment notice will be sent to member via email.
Comments are due to the NCUA within 90 days after publication in the Federal Register.
