Rep. Ciscomani thanks credit unions for filling ‘unique role’
Rep. Juan Ciscomani, R-Ariz., thanked credit unions for the work they do on the House floor Wednesday, adding that a credit union account was the first account he ever opened.
He thanked credit unions for “filling a unique role in the financial services marketplace,” especially for the more than two million members in Arizona.
“As not-for-profit cooperatives, credit unions exist serve all their members without involvement of shareholders or outside investors.”
He also recognized America’s Credit Unions as a new organization “to create a single and strong voice promoting ideals of credit unions across the country.”
Reps. Angie Craig, D-Minn., and Scott Fitzgerald, R-Wis., previously thanked credit unions on the House floor this year, and Rep. Young Kim, R-Calif., released a video with a similar message.
