With the Nov. 5 election approaching, America’s Credit Unions, its PAC, and the GoWest Credit Union Association are supporting Rep. Andrea Salinas, D-Ore., with $300,000 in direct mail and digital ads to credit union members in her congressional district to boost her candidacy ahead of the Nov. 5 general election.

Salinas in the next Congress is essential to the credit union movement’s advocacy goals, policymakers who are in touch with policies that matter to constituents,” said America’s Credit Unions Head of Political Affairs Trey Hawkins. “We’re proud to support Rep. Salinas, who has sponsored legislation to improve access to housing and allow credit unions to offer financial services to legal cannabis business, among other priorities.”

Salinas co-sponsored the SAFE Banking Act, the Home of Your Own Act, and the HELPER Act to assist teachers and first responders buy homes.
