Sharing credit union concerns at Treasury’s Small Business Roundtable

How credit unions serve small businesses—especially those banks won’t serve—and finding solutions to challenges they currently face was the focus for America’s Credit Unions’ Regulatory Advocacy team at Wednesday’s Treasury Small Business Roundtable.

The Treasury’s Office of Financial Institutions Policy invited America’s Credit Unions to participate and share credit union concerns.

The roundtable focused on:

  • The current state of small business finance, including challenges faced by small businesses in accessing capital and challenges faced by financial institutions in serving small businesses; and
  • Potential solutions to those challenges.

The Regulatory Advocacy team addressed several policy priorities that could improve credit unions’ operating environment and facilitate a strong, competitive, and inclusive marketplace for small business capital.
