Updated version of ACET now available for download
The NCUA has updated its Automated Cybersecurity Evaluation Tool (ACET) application, which is available for download from the agency’s website. The tool assists credit unions in assessing their defenses against cybersecurity attacks and aligns with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework 2.0.
The NCUA encourages credit unions to use the ACET application to assess cybersecurity preparedness levels. ACET has been tailored specifically for credit unions and includes a user-friendly application interface, enhanced reporting features, and supplementary information.
The NCUA will continue to support ACET development and will align future content with evolving standards and frameworks, such as the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s Cross Sector Cybersecurity Performance Goals.
For more tools and resources, visit the NCUA’s Cybersecurity Resource Center. For questions or concerns regarding ACET or cybersecurity in general, please contact your NCUA examiner.
