Virginia credit union profiled as successful FedNow service participant
ABNB Federal Credit Union is included in a recent “Customers Share Their FedNow Service Industry Stories” profile on the Federal Reserve’s website, highlighting how the FedNow instant payment service helps financial institutions to do away with antiquated payment methods and give members faster access.
For ABNB Federal Credit Union’s members in southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina, the instant payment service is making a difference. It’s particularly helpful with merchant and digital wallet cash outs, and for gig workers who depend on quick payment.
“I’m a firm believer that if it’s your money, you should have access and control on how you move it,” explains Director of Operations Cassandra Tucker. “We are a community-focused credit union, our members are primarily in the underserved space. We get to offer this beautiful service to our members for both send-and-receive and impact their lives.”
