Voting open to update America’s Credit Unions' legal name, domicile

America’s Credit Unions is conducting a membership vote requesting approval to formally update its name and change its domicile location from Wisconsin to the District of Columbia. Member CEOs are encouraged to cast their vote by 5 p.m. Eastern on Friday, Aug. 14.  

These changes will formalize corporate items unchanged since the merger of America’s Credit Unions’ legacy organizations. Both the name and domicile were directed by the former boards of directors when the letter of intent to merge was signed.

“When our credit union members voted to create America’s Credit Unions more than two years ago, it reaffirmed the importance of having a strong voice in Washington, D.C. We’ve made significant progress in unifying our organization and this name and domicile vote is a final legal step to formalize what our members voted for," said Karen Harbin, America’s Credit Unions Board of Directors Chair.
