This week: America’s Credit Unions hosts conference, keeps key credit union issues top of mind

Members of the House of Representatives are scheduled to be back in their districts this week after passing a foreign aid supplemental appropriations package over the weekend, while the Senate will be in session to address the package. America’s Credit Unions continues to advocate on behalf of the industry with key regulators and decisionmakers.

The organization also kicks off its HR & Organizational Development Council Conference in St. Petersburg, Florida, where attendees will gain new insights and fresh enthusiasm for the credit union industry and movement.

America’s Credit Unions PAC is supporting 14 candidates in tomorrow’s primary election in Pennsylvania. In a key Senate race this cycle, incumbent Democratic Senator Bob Casey Jr. will run unopposed on Tuesday and will face presumptive Republican candidate Dave McCormick in November’s general election. America’s Credit Unions will keep credit unions updated on relevant election results.

Also happening this week, the NCUA and the U.S. Census Bureau will co-host a webinar to discuss free data and tools available to credit unions. The webinar is scheduled for April 25 at 2 p.m. Eastern. Credit unions can register for free and submit questions ahead of the webinar.
