This week: America’s Credit Unions kicks off Strategic Growth Conference, monitors several hearings
This week, America’s Credit Unions hosts credit union leaders in Savannah, Ga., for the sold-out 2024 Strategic Growth Conference. In addition, the organization will remain engaged on Capitol Hill and will monitor several hearings of note for the industry.
Wednesday, the House Financial Services Digital Assets, Financial Technology, and Inclusion Subcommittee holds a hearing to examine the CFPB’s credit union-opposed final rule on credit card late fees. America’s Credit Unions will continue to fight back against the CFPB’s misguided efforts that restrict access to safe, affordable credit and support efforts to hold the bureau accountable.
Other hearings of note happening this week include:
- tomorrow, the Senate Banking Committee will hold a hearing to examine proposals to address housing affordability, availability, and other community needs; and
- tomorrow, the House Small Business Subcommittee on Oversight, Investigations, and Regulations will hold a hearing on alternative pathways to investing in small businesses.
Stay tuned to America’s Credit Unions for the latest out of Washington.
