This week: America’s Credit Unions voices industry priorities with Congress
This week, America’s Credit Unions will engage with several hearings of note in both the House and Senate on various topics of interest for the industry.
Wednesday, America’s Credit Unions will monitor a House Financial Services Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Monetary Policy hearing evaluating federal banking proposals under the Biden Administration.
There are also two Senate Banking Committee hearings of note happening this week, including:
- Wednesday, the Senate Banking Subcommittee on Housing, Transportation, and Community Development will discuss artificial intelligence in the housing system; and
- Thursday, the full Senate Banking Committee will hold a hearing to examine scams and fraud in the banking sector.
Also happening this week:
- tomorrow, 2023 fourth quarter call reports are due to the NCUA at 11:59 p.m. Eastern (more information on filing credit union call reports is available on the NCUA website); and
- Wednesday, responses to the voluntary Credit Union Diversity Self-Assessment are due to the NCUA.
