This week: Congress remains in session, CFPB director testifies, NCUA meeting agenda, and more

Congress remains in D.C. for the final two weeks of the current session before the end-of-year recess. The Dec. 20 deadline remains for a government funding bill and reauthorization of the National Defense Authorization Act to be acted upon.

CFPB Director Rohit Chopra will testify on Wednesday at the Senate Banking Committee hearing titled “Consumer Protection: Protecting Workers’ Money and Fighting for the Dignity of Work.”

The NCUA’s Dec. 17 meeting agenda will be released Thursday.
