Coach K to talk success through unity at 2025 Governmental Affairs Conference

Multi-gold medal and NCAA championships coach Mike Krzyzewski, known worldwide as Coach K, will take the stage at the 2025 Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) to share leadership philosophies that shaped championship teams and inspired global audiences.

As Duke University's iconic head men’s basketball coach from 1980 to 2022 – and one of the most accomplished figures in sports leadership – Coach K’s lessons in teamwork, resilience, and strategic vision have proven transformative beyond the court.

“Coach K's philosophy mirrors the credit union commitment to collaboration and forward momentum,” said America’s Credit Unions Chief Products and Services Officer Todd Spiczenski. “His insights will provide actionable strategies to lead effectively and inspire teams toward collective success, a truly unique opportunity to learn from a legendary leader.”

“I look forward to joining America’s Credit Unions at their Governmental Affairs Conference this year. The credit union movement is a community of collaboration and desire to see shared success, and that resonates with who I am as a father, friend, and coach to many,” Krzyzewski said. “I hope the leaders of this incredibly selfless industry can be inspired by my perspective on leadership, action, and overcoming challenges both in the office and in their communities. Now, let’s get to Capitol Hill and show lawmakers what a winning team looks like!”

Coach K will explore how principles that built a dynasty at Duke and led Team USA to Olympic victories can be applied to credit union leadership while discussing how unity is essential to overcoming challenges.

GAC 2025 – the premier event for credit union advocates – takes place in Washington, D.C., March 2–6.
