This week: Election Day Tuesday, FFIEC and small credit union webinars, comments due on remittances
Tomorrow is Election Day; America’s Credit Unions encourages your participation in this important election. America’s Credit Unions also offers election resources:
- CreditUnionsVote.com contains information to help voters participate with information on early voting, polling locations and more.
- The Elections Hub, updated throughout the day, will offer up-to-the-minute results in races across the country.
On Thursday, Nov. 7, America’s Credit Unions’ advocacy team hosts a post-election webinar starting at 2 p.m. Eastern, Chief Advocacy Officer Carrie Hunt will lead a discussion that includes election results analysis, what credit unions can expect both in the lame duck session and the 119th Congress, and more.
Two webinars covering important issues to credit unions are also scheduled for Nov. 7 :
- Starting at 1:30 pm. Eastern: “Working with Your Regulator: Small Credit Union and MDI Support Program” will feature three NCUA staffers covering the kinds of support the program can provide both kinds of credit unions.
- Starting at 3 p.m. Eastern: “New FFIEC IT Handbook Development, Acquisition, and Maintenance Booklet” will discuss the new handbook, including new examiner expectations, risk management, and additional practices.
Today is the last day that credit unions can submit comments on the CFPB’s proposed rule to amend disclosure requirements for certain remittances.
