This week: Final week for Congress, NCUA, FOMC meetings
The final week of the 118th Congress is here! The Senate is expected to vote on the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) bill this afternoon. Congress has until Friday to pass a government funding bill to avoid a government shutdown.
The NCUA board meets tomorrow for its final meeting of the year. On the agenda is a final rule on succession planning and approval of the proposed 2025-2026 operating budget. America’s Credit Unions shared significant concerns with the proposed budget at the public briefing and in written comments last month.
The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) will meet this Tuesday and Wednesday for the final meeting of the year, with a decision on interest rates to come following the conclusion of the meeting.
