This week: Shutdown enters week four
The shutdown continues, with the Senate in Washington, D.C., the House remaining in-district, and no forward movement on a solution to the shutdown. The Senate has two hearings scheduled and America’s Credit Unions plans to engage as lawmakers tackle topics of interest for credit unions.
The Senate Banking Committee holds a hearing on housing policy Tuesday and a hearing with NCUA Chairman Kyle Hautpman and other federal financial regulators is planned for Thursday. America’s Credit Unions will engage with the committee ahead of both hearings if they proceed as scheduled. The House Financial Services Committee previously had a financial regulator hearing scheduled for this week but it is now listed as postponed.
