California, Nevada, Utah leagues form new partnership

The Utah Credit Union Association and the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues have reached an agreement to form a joint association support services organization.

Scott Simpson, current president/CEO of the Utah Credit Union Association and a member of America’s Credit Unions Transition Board of Directors, will serve as president of the new partnership. California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues President/CEO Diana Dykstra recently announced her retirement, effective in July.

“This new endeavor between the California, Nevada and Utah leagues exemplifies the cooperative spirit of the credit union industry,” said America’s Credit Unions President/CEO Jim Nussle. “Congratulations to Scott in this enhanced role and thank you for being a leader for our movement. America’s Credit Unions looks forward to continuing to work with each league on advocacy priorities, and new ways to elevate their operations.

“We also commend Diana on her four decades of service to the credit union industry, including the past 14 leading the California and Nevada leagues and countless volunteer leadership roles. You have given us all something to aspire to.”

Each state entity will maintain governance of their respective advocacy operations, non-advocacy related services and back-office functions will be done by the new entity born of the partnership.
