The CFPB Thursday announced that the filing period for Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) data collected in 2023 is open. The bureau noted that “[s]ubmissions will be considered timely if received on or before Friday, March 1, 2024.”
Credit unions can access the HMDA platform to file their data. Credit unions can test their submissions on the HMDA beta platform but must officially submit their data via the live HMDA platform. In addition, the platform allows credit unions to determine if their loan/application register (LAR) data complies with reporting requirements that are defined in the filing guide for 2023 HMDA data.
