The House Wednesday passed a package of spending bills, sending the package to the Senate ahead of tonight’s partial government shutdown deadline.
The bipartisan package of six government appropriations bills will fund several departments through September, including:
- Agriculture;
- Commerce, Justice, and Science;
- Military Construction and Veterans Affairs;
- Transportation, Housing and Urban Development;
- Energy; and
- Interior.
In addition the package will fund the Food and Drug Administration and other federal programs.
America’s Credit Unions will remain engaged with lawmakers and keep credit unions updated.
