This week: House returns, Senate back in districts; America’s Credit Unions monitoring CU priorities

This week, the House returns to Washington, D.C. while Senate members are back home in their districts. America’s Credit Unions will monitor several hearings of note for credit unions, as well as tomorrow’s primary elections happening in Colorado, New York and Utah.

America’s Credit Unions PAC is supporting three candidates in Utah, five candidates in Colorado, and 22 candidates in New York. Credit union-backed candidates have a success rate over 98% so far in the 2024 cycle. America’s Credit Unions’ Credit Union Elections Hub continues to track election results from the primaries through the general election.

The House Energy and Commerce Committee is scheduled to markup the American Privacy Rights Act at the full committee level on Thursday. America’s Credit Unions has expressed concerns about the legislation and its potential impact on credit unions.
