America’s Credit Unions will monitor several relevant hearings this week, including Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen’s appearances before the House Financial Services Committee and Senate Banking Committee.
During the hearings, Yellen will provide an annual report to Congress on the Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC). The House Financial Services Committee hearing will take place Tuesday at 10 a.m. Eastern, while the Senate Banking Committee hearing is scheduled for Thursday at 9 a.m. Eastern. America’s Credit Unions will engage with both committees to advocate on behalf of the credit union industry.
Other items of note happening this week:
- Thursday, the NCUA will release the agenda for its February board meeting; and
- also Thursday, the NCUA will host a webinar on the agency’s 2024 supervisory priorities.
