TruStage contributes $250K to credit union interchange efforts

TruStage presented America’s Credit Unions with a $250,000 contribution to bolster credit union advocacy against proposals to alter the current interchange system. TruStage President/CEO Terrance Williams joined America’s Credit Unions President and CEO Jim Nussle Monday at the National Credit Union Roundtable to highlight the impact the contribution will have in educating policymakers on the issue.

Williams previously announced the contribution in March at the 2024 Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC).

“To be an advocate, to show commitment, to demonstrate your value means doing more than just showing up at [the GAC], it means also putting fourth our time, energy, efforts, and our resources to really support the things most important to the system,” Williams said at GAC, pledging the funds to support the credit union fight against proposed changes to the interchange system.

America’s Credit Unions continues to fight back against the Big Box Bailout bill through direct engagement with policymakers, grassroots efforts, and more.
