New podcast: How one credit union achieved expansive growth

As strategic planning season gets underway for many credit unions, one credit union CEO’s experience transforming a struggling credit union offers a blueprint for growth that is rooted in finding purpose.

Ironworkers USA Federal Credit Union CEO Teri Robinson shares her story on the “Growth and resilience” episode of A CU Seat at the Table podcast, hosted by America’s Credit Unions Chief Membership & Engagement Officer Anthony Demangone.

The credit union was under regulatory scrutiny and coded a CAMELS 4—a warning sign of serious financial distress—when Robinson made a bold decision to fight for their members. Only four months into her role as CEO, she was driven by a deep sense of purpose and a belief in the value of community.

The result of her leadership is evident in the numbers: Ironworkers has grown from $7 million to $135 million in assets.
