Innovation central to ongoing engagement with administration

Continuing to engage the administration on credit union innovation, America’s Credit Unions attended the White House’s America 250 Innovation Summit Wednesday. Hosted by the White House Domestic Policy Council and Office of Public Policy, the event focused on innovation across all industries to aid consumers and improve the economy.

Prioritizing innovation, and credit unions’ ability to evolve to meet members’ needs, has been a chief topic of ongoing advocacy with policymakers in Washington, D.C.

Technology will be key to government efforts to fight fraud, America’s Credit Unions wrote in response to a request for information last week. The organization has also called on Congress, the NCUA, and regulators to assess new technologies with a balanced and flexible approach that allows for continued innovation while protecting consumers.
