Collaboration strengthened the movement in 2025

Credit unions protected members’ financial futures, lifted communities, and showed the power of people helping people in 2025. A new video from America’s Credit Unions highlights the movement’s accomplishments this year, all made possible through the unified voice and collective effort of America’s Credit Unions, leagues, credit unions, and other partners. 

From the first day of the 119th Congress to the president’s signature on a bill leaving the tax status secure, the Don’t Tax My Credit Union Campaign resulted in 861,000 grassroots messages sent, more than 1,000 meetings with Congressional offices, and 700 credit unions and all leagues signing onto dozens of joint letters,

Outside of Don’t Tax My Credit Union, Congress introduced six different pro-credit union bills this year, and credit union officials testified three times before Congressional committees.
