Conference attendance not required to win. A panel of Council leaders and ACU (ACU) staff will review submissions based on the criteria above. All registrants will be notified by March 6, 2026. By submitting a design, entrants grant ACU full rights to use, reproduce, and modify the artwork for promotional and event purposes without additional compensation. Incomplete or non-compliant submissions may be disqualified at the discretion of ACU. Winner must be a member of ACU. One submission per credit union.
By submitting a sticker design to the ACU 2026 Marketing, PR & Development Council Conference Sticker Design Contest, you agree that your work will be deemed a “work made for hire” (as defined under the U.S. Copyright Act and for the purpose of all other copyright laws throughout the world) created for ACU. If, for any reason, an entry, or a portion of it, is not found to be a “work made for hire,” then by entering the competition you irrevocably assign all rights of ownership in the entry, including without limitation, all copyrights and all renewals and extensions to it throughout the universe, to ACU. You may include your entry in your resume or portfolio but are otherwise prohibited from using the entry or any part of it without the written permission of ACU.
ACU reserves the right to place and remove entries on and from the ACU’ website at any time, and to adapt all parts of the entries for use in other media, including print and physical objects. Moreover, ACU reserves the right to use the submitted work for ACU’ promotional materials, including but not limited to, website, social media, print, or marketing purposes. ACU may copy, distribute, perform, display, and otherwise use entries, in whole or in part, in any media, including but not limited to using the winning entry as the basis of an ACU Marketing, PR & Development Council Conference sticker design that will be owned by ACU.
By submitting a design entry, you agree and consent to the use of your design and name by the ACU, its affiliates, subsidiaries, parents, and licensees in connection with the contest and related marketing activities or for other purposes by and for the benefit of ACU, in any media format or channels now known or hereafter invented, in any and all locations, without any payment to or further approval from you. You agree that this consent is perpetual and cannot be revoked.
By submitting an entry, you agree that your entry:
- is wholly your original artwork, meaning it has been produced by you either by hand or digitally, not by any other person or AI tool;
- does not contain words or images that are obscene, inappropriate, or defamatory;
- does not infringe or violate the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity, or other rights of any person or entity;
- does not contain malicious code, such as viruses, timebombs, cancelbots, worms, Trojan horses, or other harmful programs or information;
- does not and will not violate any law, statute, ordinance, rule or regulation;
- does not feature the likeness of private individuals without the individuals’ explicit written permission for its use; and
- does not trigger any reporting or royalty obligation to any third party.
You also agree that the rights that you are granting under these Terms do not conflict with any other agreement to which you are a party of have entered into, or with any commitments, restrictions or obligations that you are under to any other person or entity. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless, ACU and its officers, employees, representatives and agents, from any claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and related disbursements) arising from or related to your participation in the competition, including but not limited to any claims, damages and expenses arising from or related to entrant’s actual or alleged infringement or violation of any patent, copyright, trademark, or other proprietary right.
You agree that ACU assumes no responsibility for lost, incomplete, misdirected, illegible, late, malfunctioning, or non-functioning entries, or for failed computer transmissions or technical failures.
Non-compliance with any of the competition rules may result in disqualification and awarding of the prize to an alternate winner.
