Primaries in three states kick off 2026 election cycle
March 3, 2026
The 2026 election cycle kicks off with primaries today in Arkansas, North Carolina, and Texas. America’s Credit Unions PAC is supporting credit union champions in each state.
- In Arkansas, the PAC supported four candidates, including House Financial Services Chairman, Rep. French Hill.
- In North Carolina, the PAC backed eight candidates.
- In Texas, the PAC supported 22 candidates amid a highly competitive primary environment that includes five newly created congressional districts. PAC-supported candidates include former litigation attorney Jessica Steinmann, former Cornerstone League employee and credit union advocate Jessica Karlsruher, and attorney and former Hill staffer Tom Sell. The PAC also backed Senator John Cornyn as he seeks to secure the Republican nomination.
Both Texas and North Carolina state legislatures enacted mid-cycle congressional redistricting, creating new districts and significant boundary shifts that will shape the 2026 primary and general election environment.
Stay tuned to Daily News for updates; the America's Credit Unions Election Hub will go live once results are in and will track results throughout the entire election cycle.
