NCUA, FDIC to host webinar on fraud prevention

The NCUA and FDIC are working together to host a joint webinar that tackles the most prevalent financial scams and actions that can be taken to reduce risk and protect consumers. The event takes place March 12 at 1 p.m. Eastern.

The free webinar will feature:

  • Practical strategies to help financial institutions combat fraud and recognize suspicious or unauthorized activity.
    Financial education resources credit unions, banks, and community partners can use, such as MyCreditUnion.gov.
    Insights from credit union and community bank representatives, who will share proven best practices for preventing fraud and identifying potentially fraudulent activity.

After the event, the webinar will be posted on NCUA’s YouTube channel.
