NCUA requests comments on voluntary EGRPRA review

The NCUA has published the latest round of its request for comment under the Economic Growth and Paperwork Reduction Act. The NCUA voluntarily undertakes such reviews to identify “outdated, unnecessary, or unduly burdensome regulatory requirements imposed on federally insured credit unions.”

This third and final round, released Tuesday, covers five categories:

  • Corporate credit unions;
  • Directors, officers and employees;
  • Anti-money laundering and Bank Secrecy Act;
  • Rules of procedure; and
  • Safety and soundness.

America’s Credit Unions will issue a Regulatory Comment alert to solicit member feedback on the request for comment. Comments are due to the NCUA by June 1.
