Wins for 28 credit union-backed candidates in Utah, Maryland, New York

In primary elections across Maryland, New York, and Utah this week, 28 America’s Credit Unions PAC-supported candidates on the ballot advanced to November’s election. This includes a key victory in the Democratic primary for former Rep. Ben McAdams in Utah, who the PAC provided early support through independent expenditure advertising.

“Credit unions and their members continue to showcase the power of cooperative finance through the success of credit union champions in elections,” said America’s Credit Unions Head of Political Affairs Trey Hawkins. “In open-seat elections particularly, our early support can determine whether the seat is won by a credit union supporter.
