ACTIONS YOU CAN TAKE
Project Zip Code
Empowering credit unions through data-driven advocacy
Project Zip Code (PZC) is a user-friendly, secure computer program that counts your members and matches them to a congressional district, state legislative district and county. These counts are then uploaded to America’s Credit Unions’ PZC website and combined with data from other credit unions nationwide.
PZC aids in federal and state advocacy efforts and participation provides operational benefits. Credit unions can view the number of credit union members by geographic area, which can be useful in placing ATMs and shared branching.
The master census that results from credit unions running PZC helps demonstrate the strength of credit union membership across the nation. It shows the power of advocacy efforts when we all work together.
Information is completely secure with PZC. In fact, only the number of credit union members is transmitted to the PZC national database. Specific member data cannot be viewed by anyone outside your organization.
To view PZC totals for your credit union, state, or league and to design your own reports, visit the website.
