Impact of credit union stories resonates
Credit unions’ commitment to innovation, member empowerment, and community impact is unwavering. The America’s Credit Unions blog regularly highlights the efforts of credit unions to advance the financial well-being of more than 145 million members.
In 2025, the five most-read blog stories drew readers' attention by demonstrating how the credit union difference changes lives for the better. The top blog posts included:
- Manchester Municipal Federal Credit Union reached 14 years of student loan operations with zero delinquencies and zero charge-offs;
- Ent Credit Union's financial coaching program helped members eliminate more than $700,000 in debt during the first half of 2025. Ent has certified 140 employees through the program, with about 95 currently active as coaches across its 60 branches and virtual platform;
- Credit unions like FORUM Credit Union and Centris Federal Credit Union used artificial intelligence to process and underwrite loans faster, increase approvals, and maintain credit quality;
- How Valley Oak Credit Union, WyHy Federal Credit Union, and Alive Credit Union have programs that incentivize on-time payments through interest rate reductions; and
- Responding to the record-setting federal government shutdown, Keesler Federal Credit Union launched a Paycheck Relief program that advanced more than 5,000 paychecks totaling $6.5 million to its 1,710 enrolled federal employee members.
