NCUA seeks diversity self-assessment submissions by Jan. 31
A voluntary diversity self-assessment is now available for credit unions to outline their best practices and help shape future resources. The NCUA is asking for this input to help identify and develop materials that credit unions can use at every stage of their diversity and inclusion needs. Credit unions are invited to submit electronic self-assessments through a secure portal through Jan. 31, 2025.
This assessment will not be shared with or accessible to all NCUA offices. Only the NCUA’s Office of Minority and Women Inclusion will assess results and aggregate data for support material development to share for credit unions’ diversity and inclusion needs. These aggregated responses are reported in an annual Credit Union Diversity Self-Assessment report and may appear in additional reports including the NCUA’s Annual Report to Congress.
The agency encourages credit unions to assess their performance each year. While the NCUA’s deadline to submit and help create support materials is January 31, participation is voluntary. Credit unions are not required to submit their assessment results.
