This Week: Call report comments due, in-district advocacy underway

Congress remains back home this week for August recess, but America’s Credit Unions, leagues, and credit unions’ advocacy is ongoing.

The Senate is accepting amendments to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) during pro forma sessions this month, and America’s Credit Unions leads the continued efforts to both protect credit unions from harmful amendments and also explore opportunities to attach pro-credit union policies.

With lawmakers back home and meetings taking place, America’s Credit Unions Resource Library has updated in-district engagement resources available for members, including a new video and checklist. Leagues and credit unions are encouraged to share photos and details about meetings, op-eds, and other media engagement to communications@americascreditunions.org.  

Today, comments are due to the NCUA on proposed Call Report Instruction changes for the September 2025 cycle.
