This week: Congress returns to high-priority legislation on the docket
Congress is back in session this week, getting started on their legislative work following the August recess. America’s Credit Unions continues to advocate for credit union priorities as lawmakers address the FY 2026 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and appropriations bills in advance of the Sept. 30 government funding deadline.
The House Appropriations Committee will begin the markup of its FY26 Financial Services and General Government bill on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Eastern.
