Reminder: CDRLF grant application window closes Dec. 16
The NCUA has reminded credit unions of the Community Development Revolving Loan Fund (CDRLF) grant application window, which opened in October and will close on Dec. 16. In a press release sent Monday, the agency reiterated its plans to award approximately $3.465 million in CDRLF grants to between 85 and 115 low-income designated (LID) credit unions.
Of note, NCUA has made several changes to the CDRLF process this year to enhance access for LID credit unions, allowing them to apply for awards in two separate initiatives. If a LID credit union applies for a grant and does not receive it, the credit union can convert the grant application into a CDRLF loan application.
Grant application guidelines and frequently asked questions are posted on the NCUA’s Grants page. Interested credit unions are encouraged to view a pre-recorded webinar detailing how to apply for a 2025 CDRLF grant which can be found on the NCUA’s YouTube Channel.
