This week: AI innovation, veteran entrepreneurship hearings
Congress is in Washington, D.C., this week with several hearings of interest to credit unions scheduled:
- Wednesday, the House Financial Services Committee will conduct a hearing on artificial intelligence innovation in financial services;
- Wednesday, the House Small Business Committee will conduct a hearing on empowering veteran entrepreneurs; and
- Thursday, the House Financial Services Committee will conduct a hearing on right-sizing banks’ capital framework.
Additionally, one or both chambers could act on the final National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) conference report.
Thursday, the NCUA may release the agenda for its Dec. 18 meeting, which is currently listed as “tentative” on the agency’s website.
America’s Credit Unions’ compliance team is also accepting questions for a soon-to-be-recorded webinar on H.R. 1 tax provisions. Questions can be submitted via this form, and the team will record a webinar addressing all questions and notify participants when the recording is available.
