This week: Final week in session for Congress
The House and Senate are in for the final week of session this year and are tackling several items of note for credit unions.
Floor consideration of the FY26 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) is underway. Congressional leaders released text of the NDAA last week without any financial services provisions impacting credit unions.
The House Financial Services Committee plans to hold a markup of various measures tomorrow and Wednesday, with regulatory relief and housing legislation impacting credit unions on the docket. America’s Credit Unions Advocacy Team will engage lawmakers ahead of the markup to encourage support for credit union-backed bills.
