Financial Management Advanced eSchool is designed for credit union professionals who already understand the fundamentals and are ready to dive deeper into financial performance and strategic decision-making. Building on foundational concepts, this program explores advanced financial analysis, treasury management, and risk considerations that directly impact credit union growth and stability.
With new sessions on financial statement analysis and treasury management, attendees will strengthen their ability to interpret financial data, evaluate risk, and contribute more meaningfully to long-term planning and organizational strategy.

Attendees will learn to use financial ratios to evaluate their credit union's financial performance by examining each risk area to understand trends over time, interrelationships among ratios, increasing and decreasing strengths and weaknesses.

- Discuss ways to evaluate the sources/uses of cash
- How to integrate cash needs with other risks of the credit union

Learn to critically review and understand balance sheet risk and apply asset/liability management (ALM) tools to balance sheet management.
You will also examine modeling techniques to consider in the ALM process.

Discover how product design and pricing affect the sensitivity of cash flows to changes in interest rates. Attendees will develop analytic tools to analyze “decay rates” (deposit product sensitivity) and “duration” (market price sensitivity).
October 14, 2026 | 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.
Become more familiar with the different types of credit risk and explore how to manage and control it. Learn to understand the role of credit risk while managing the balance sheet, and explore different forecasting methods for loan delinquency and charge-offs
October 21, 2026 | 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.
Learn how to identify, manage, and control liquidity risk, and understand the critical elements in operational and contingency liquidity. Attendees will establish best practices when forecasting cash flow needs and sources. Finally, review external funding and asset liquidation options
October 28, 2026 | 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.
Discuss how a future interest rate increase will affect the balance sheet and income statement while identifying the four elements of interest rate risk and how they affect the credit union earnings and balance sheet: yield curve, basis, optionality and re-pricing risk.
November 4, 2026 | 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.
Learn to identify and manage the key elements of market risk. This course will examine the factors that affect market value and lead to market risk.
November 18, 2026 | 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.
Learn how forecasting and projections can enhance the budget and planning processes. You will understand the financial implications of long-term growth. Create a long-term financial simulation for your credit union to help develop a credit union financial road map.

Virtual cancellations
All cancellations must be received in writing. Please provide a brief explanation for the cancellation and submit via email to hello@americascreditunions.org. Cancellations received more than 7 days prior to the event are subject to a 25% administrative fee on the order total. No refunds will be granted for cancellations received on or after 7 days prior to the event. Substitutions are accepted prior to the start of the program. Additional costs may apply. Please provide the event name, current participant, and new participant name to hello@americascreditunions.org.
On Demand cancellations
Once a purchase is completed, it is considered final. We do not offer refunds or exchanges for these products unless they are defective or not as described. Defective Products: If you receive a defective product, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt. We will arrange for a replacement or provide a refund at our discretion. Incorrect Item Received: If you receive an incorrect item, notify us within 48 hours of delivery. We will provide instructions for returning the item and issue a refund or replacement.
