Sen. Gallego talks banking committee priorities with credit union leaders

Connecting with a key legislator back home, America’s Credit Unions President/CEO Scott Simpson, GoWest Credit Union Association leaders, and credit union advocates met with Sen. Ruben Gallego, D-Ariz., at GoWest’s CEO Co-Lab event in Phoenix Friday.

Gallego, ranking member of the Senate Banking Subcommittee on Digital Assets and strong credit union supporter since his time in the House, discussed cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence, affordable housing, and reforms at various government regulators, including the CFPB.

Simpson and Gallego spoke after the remarks on several credit union and Senate Banking Committee priorities for the coming year.
